National Trust's Hatchland's Park

Day 2 and last day of our trip down south. After a restless night/feeling quite ill I wake up to a nice breakfast, beans on toast and this pastry thing, lovely. Heading toward home we stop first at Shere (beautiful little town) for lunch (mum and dad especially love the place because they went there after the wedding 30 years ago!) then Hatchland's Park. Hatchland's Park for me was just amazing, it houses instruments owned or played by some of the greatest composers, J.S. Bach, J.C. Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt and Elgar.

In Shere, while Mum, Dad and my sister explored a shop I found incredibly boring I chilled here:D

One of the many many very special pianos at Hatchland's Park. This was played by Mr Franz Liszt, an absolute legend to any serious pianist. The note on the front is a thankyou letter from Liszt to the maker for letting him borrow it!

Anyone who hasn't seen my ugly face, this is me. Here I am listening to my incredibly geeky audio guide of Chopin's Playel Piano! I mean CHOPIN'S! I love his music and to think his masterful hands played this instrument and indeed composed on it is just awe inspiring!

If you like all things piano this place is a must!
