First Capital Connect

I hope you don't mind me venting some pure frustration on this blog, but I'm sure some of you will feel my pain. Due at college for 9am, I was on time last week however I was a little rushed so I left earlier today getting the 7:53 train. The train arrives 15 minutes late due to power problems and 15 minutes at that time in the morning caused a huge build up of people on the platform, train comes, everyone squashes on. Horrible. THEN the driver says this train will terminate at west hampstead, good for me because thats where I get off, however everyone got off at west hampstead. It was so bad that I had to cue outside of the Jubilee Line station to get a train. Anyway all this meant I was over 30 minutes late for my lesson, due to how stressed I was I didn't go to it in the end…! I can't claim compensation on my peak time ticket since the train only delayed me 20+ minutes and not 30-60. Shame they don't factor in the backlog they cause. Thanks First C[r]apital Connect.
